PHILOSOPHY

  • Players rise to the standards we hold for them. We train the girls like professional players, and we have seen them respond accordingly.
  • We believe that professional coaching is crucial for player development especially from ages 6-12.
  • Early is on time, and on time is late.
  • Players are expected to come dressed in their training kit.
  • Players are expected to make eye contact with the coaches when they are talking, and with their body language showing full attention.
  • We believe that every player deserves the opportunity to reach her potential and are against the idea of streaming players before age 13 both for psychological and technical development reasons.
  • We believe in developing players, and are happy to take losses in games on the field in order to develop players to their highest ability.
  • We believe that teaching girls to respond positively to adversity is a key point in their development as soccer players and more importantly as people. We love putting our players into situations that will challenge them and where they may “fail.”
  • We believe that players should be encouraged to play multiple sports wherever possible and are against single sport specialization until they are in high school.
  • Our coaches have a “growth mindset” when coaching our players; namely that all players are able to improve, and that improvement comes from hard work not just from “talent.”
  • We want to give every single player we have the tools to reach their potential and believe in treating every player equally.
  • We believe in cultivating a competitive, positive environment that gives players a platform to succeed in all components of their lives.
  • We believe in using soccer as a tool to teach our players kindness, inclusiveness, teamwork and appreciation.
  • We hold ourselves to the highest standards and take seriously our role as role models to our young female players.
  • We believe in giving back a percentage of the money from our programs to support elite female players pursuing soccer after high school, underprivileged players both domestically and internationally and to support the growth in numbers and ability of female coaches.
